「相談」という言葉には、どこか構えてしまうような印象がある。しかし本来、福祉が支えられる領域は、私たちが想像する以上に広く、日常のささやかな困りごととも地続きに存在している。近年では、社会課題が複雑化し、それぞれの家族や家庭が抱える問題も多様になっているように思う。支援を必要としていても、その入口へたどり着くこと自体が難しい場面も少なくない。
だからこそ、この計画では「相談するために訪れる場所」ではなく、「何気なく訪れていた場所の延長に、自然と相談できる環境があること」を重視している。
オープンスペースの脇には、小さな相談スペースを設けている。その存在を過度に強調するのではなく、日常の風景の中に静かに溶け込ませることで、無意識のうちに相談への心理的なハードルを下げることを目指している。

インテリアには、地域の石垣を連想させるピンコロ石を用い、隣接する保育園と素材感を緩やかに共有することで、周囲の環境と連続する風景を構成している。
一方で、単に「昔からそこにあったような佇まい」を再現するのではなく、複数の曲率によって構成されたR天井を設けるなど、この地域にはこれまで存在しなかった質感や空気感をあえて持ち込むことで、人々の日常の中に新たな目的地や関係性を生み出すことを意図している。

福祉を特別なものとして切り離すのではなく、地域の日常の中へとひらいていく。
この場所は、そのための小さな実践として計画している。

This is a renovation project for a community welfare consultation space open to the local neighborhood.
Rather than functioning solely as a place for consultation, the space is being planned as an environment where local residents can freely stop by, gather casually, and spend time as part of their everyday lives.

The word “consultation” can often feel intimidating or formal. However, the role that welfare can play — and the kinds of support it can offer — may extend far beyond what we usually imagine, closely connected to the small concerns and difficulties found in everyday life. In recent years, social issues have become increasingly complex, and the challenges faced by individuals and families have also diversified. Even when support is needed, many people struggle to find an accessible point of entry.
For this reason, the project focuses not on creating “a place people visit specifically for consultation,” but rather on creating an environment where opportunities for consultation naturally exist within the extension of an everyday place people casually visit.
Alongside the open communal area, a small consultation space is incorporated. Instead of emphasizing its presence, the intention is for it to quietly blend into the everyday landscape, gently lowering the psychological barrier to seeking support on an unconscious level.

The interior incorporates materials such as pin-koro stones that evoke the image of the stone walls found throughout the area, while also sharing material expressions with the neighboring nursery school, creating a landscape that naturally connects with its surroundings.
At the same time, rather than simply recreating an atmosphere that appears as though it has “always existed there,” the project intentionally introduces textures and spatial qualities previously unfamiliar to the area — including a curved ceiling composed of multiple radii — in order to create new destinations and relationships within everyday community life.

Rather than separating welfare as something special or distant, the project seeks to open it into the fabric of everyday community life.
This place is being planned as a small but meaningful practice toward that vision.
